[Personality]
Vir is a youth that never quite grasped the concept of right or wrong, having lived most of his life as an outlaw in space with a family of pirates. In short, he has no problem speaking his mind and not many things seem to phase him. He tends to give the first impression of being lazy, immature, bored or high--but he is actually just harmlessly curious, imaginitive and a habitual liar. He's fairly sociable and gets along with women especially well, though despite his playful and teasing nature, doesn't genuinely show any romantic intrest towards them. Easily amused, he can get carried away asking ridiculous, unnecessary questions just to observe a person's reactions. His heavy usage of slang also makes him easy to misunderstand and come off as offensive. When Vir's preoccupied, he's more than likely building miniature robots that he allows to roam freely. His memory is pretty shoddy, so he sometimes makes up names for people if theirs is too complicated for him. He doesn't like to sleep, so after staying up for a few days, he becomes a real grump.

[Appearance and Quirks]
Appearing to be in his late teens to early 20's, Vir is lanky in build with a tanned complexion. He has what appears to be white birthmarks that spackle his hands, arms and a greater portion of the left side of his body. His eyes are crimson in color, and the pupil of his left eye appears serpentine (slitted). Often, but not always, his left eye is hidden behind an eyepatch. His hair is cream-white, accentuated with streaks of pastel violet, pink, orange and turquoise. Others don't need to be too observant to notice he has an unusually high metabolism, evidenced by his voracious appetite, high sleep requirement, and the rapid growth of his hair which he has to trim on a near-daily basis. The peculiar inconsistancy with the blotchyness of his skin and the array of colors in his hair is, what he assumes, a cosmetic side-effect of a nanoid (nanobot) infection he'd contracted a few years ago.

[History]
Vir describes his past vaguely at best. Other times, he makes things up. Known as an infamous space pirate involved in intergalactic drug traffiking to some and an inventive cybernetic engineer to others, he's actually... well, both, but in a lesser degree. Regardless, the short story is that after a Tythe (offering) ceremony had gone horribly wrong, he was separated from his crew and captured by rival outlaws for nanoid implantation and drug harvesting. He lived through the experience, but had since escaped and remains in hiding, making a living as a wetware hacker on post-cyberpunk, distopian Earth.

[Extra Info]
Vir is actually a Vector, a being infected for the purpose of hosting a nanoid virus responsible for a highly hallucinogenic narcotic inside his body. Once the nanoids have multiplied and are ready to vacate, they sprout from the host's back as feathered wings of various colors, ripe for harvesting. When placed in the mouth and sucked on, the feathers allow the user to experience dreams and alternate realities--and in some rare instances, allows the imaginary to become real. Users of the drug can share the experience, but events beyond that are completely out of their control. Vir, however, can experience the effects when he sleeps. While in that state, he looses the desire for things like food and drink, and fears never waking again.

[Vir's Robots]
The majority of Vir's creations are small, though highly complex and capable of a number of useful functions. His designs are heavily influenced by creatures resembling Earth's arthropods both alive and extinct (insects, arachnids, crustaceans and the like). More often than not, he's carrying at least a few of these "arthrobots" that are hidden within the confines of his clothes.

/Virbot/
Among the largest of the robots Vir possesses; it is in fact not a creation of his own, but a robot-like entity Vir procured from his dreams. It commonly takes the form of a 2-foot long centipede, but can "mimic" the form of his robots of its own free will. Vir has spent a great deal of time experimenting on the creature. It was found to be nearly indestructable, malleable, and capable of regeneration. Highly sentient, it will not necessarily obey Vir's commands. It obtains its energy by absorbing electricity and light.

Thought patterns (for the psychics): His thoughts are occasionally irrational and fragmented; the prospect of death is often on his mind. Otherwise, his mind works much like a child's. His thoughts are relatively innocent; rarely perverse and rarely judgemental. He accepts things easily and his thoughts are fairly easy to access.

Vir's disease can be infectious, and in nearly all cases, deadly. However, the only way to contract the virus in its infectious form by an infected host is via sexual transmission (hince why he avoids developing romantic interests with anyone. Just think of it as an STD... XD)
